Natural Designs in Scrapbooking – NDISB – July 2010 Creative Team Projects

I have a busy busy month here at the blog, at NDISB, where I am hosting the July 2010 Posting Challenge,  RAKScraps, where I am one of the Designer Highlight Sponsors for the month, 3Scrapateers, for all the 3S Club Challenges (which I will be posting and updating as they are finished) and my lovely son Eddie will be here for the summer.  So, as they say, I will be busier than a one armed wallpaper hanger LOL.

On to my projects for this month:

Lynn GriffinSpring In My Heart Kit.  I have quite a few pictures of myself and my daughter Rena that need scrapping, and I found this lovely kit by Lynn Griffin at NDISB to use for my Creative team projects.  I was drawn to this kit for it’s softness and lovely elements.  I found that it suited my pictures perfectly with the lovely shades of cream, pink, and green.    This kit is one you could use for just about anything and I am sure that I will be going back to it time and time again.  The elements are simply lovely and the papers are very rich in texture.  You can see this kit, and all of Lynn’s other offerings at her NDISB store located here.

Here is my layout:  Mother’s Day

Another layout done for Lynn Griffin is Solitude.  This layout was created with her Recollections Kit available at NDISB here.  I chose this kit because it complimented the picture colors and the overall feel of the photograph.  The elements are very vintage and elegant.  The colors are soft yet rich, and that was another reason that I chose this kit.  It is just lovely.

Here is “Solitude”

The next designer is Bernadette Hunt at NDISB.  She is sponsoring the July 2010 Color Challenge at NDISB and she is using the palette from this kit.  I did not realize it until I re read her initial post.  It gave me an idea to use this kit for something other than Easter.  It is the Easter Sweets Kit.  This kit will be great for Easter Photos, as well as anything springtime, or with children, and yes, even baking in the kitchen!  Here is my son, Eddie, baking away.

You can see all of Bernadette’s designs at her NDISB Store.

My Son the Pastry Chef!

GET Designs – The following layout was created with the Watermelon Kit by GET Designs.  It is a new release in her store.  These photos were perfect for this kit.  You can almost smell the sweet watermelons when you unzip this little scrapbooking kit!  The colors are cool and sweet and the elements are just juicy!  It made doing this layout easy as pie!

HOT FLASH DESIGNS

I just love the kit I chose this month.  It is Grasshopper Pie by Hot Flash Designs at NDISB.  The colors are cool and creamy, just perfect for summer layouts of just about anything!  And the papers are so artsy.  This kit makes putting together a layout a breeze.  I chose to scrap my little bug picture with it because it just seemed to fit!

Love, love your layouts, Jess – you’ve turned pro on me now, girlfriend. And your descriptions are so well written. I am so proud of you and your accomplishments – seems like just yesterday you were wondering if you could do this and look at you now! Awesome!
    Hugs,
    Sara

I love the layout of you and Rena – you look so pretty and it’s obvious that Rena belongs to you! Hope you are home safely now and if I know you, you are back working those fingers off on the keyboard or designing.
    Hugs,
    Sara
