Natural Designs in Scrapbooking – NDISB – Creative Team – June 2010

Natural Designs in Scrapbooking, or NDISB, is a digital scrapbooking community dedicated to the fine art, yes I said fine art, of digital scrapbooking.  They have a wonderful forum, terrific gallery, monthly challenges, and a wonderful digital store packed with great digital scrapbooking supplies.  You will find them friendly, warm, and welcoming.  Please take a moment and visit NDISB.  I am sure you will enjoy your time there.

Creative Team endeavors for NDISB:

Chili Designz:  June 2010

This  month I have been paired with Chili Designz.  The following layouts have been scrapped with products Exclusive to Chili Designz.  After each layout you will find a link to the particular product that was used.  You can also click on the image to see the larger view in a new window.

Summer Love

The Summer Love Kit by Chili Designs was used for this layout of a friendly butterfly that decided the lily needed a little more “gilding” in the words of my friend Heather.  I found this kit to be a perfect backdrop for such a color filled photo.  It did not take away from the impact I was trying to achieve.

A Simpler Time

The Keep It Simple Kit by Chili Designs was used for this layout of Leonard playing his banjo.  I liked the textures of this kit, and the floral element really helped me achieve an easy feel.  The greens are extremely soft, which is why I chose this particular background.  As I look at this layout, I can almost hear him picking away on the porch.

This layout features the In My Garden Kit by Chili Designs.  This picture of fast ripening berries just cried out for a kit with lush greens and delicate elements.  We pick these and turn them into lovely jams, jellies, and fanstatic home made wine.

Hot Flash Designs: 2010

I was also paired with Hot Flash Designs for the month of June.  HFD has some really wonderful products as well.  The following layouts have been scrapped with products Exclusive to Hot Flash Designs.  After each layout you will find a link to the particular product that was used.  You can also click on the image to see the larger view in a new window.

"BackYard Lunch"

A Little Bit of Country 5 by Hot Flash Designs is the kit featured in this layout about a picnic, Cloverlick Style!  Teresa, Mike, Claudette, Anna Ruth, and Leonard loaded up the buggy and headed for the “backyard” which happens to be Black Mountain, for a little picnic.  The rustic, charming elements and papers of this kit made it perfect for these two photos.

Prom

Hot August Nights  is the name of this pretty kit by Hot Flash Designs.  This was a prom picture taken by my daughter, Rena, of one of her friends, getting ready for the big dance.  Hot August Nights had the perfect elements and balance of fresh and elegant to help make this layout one of my favorites.

A View from atop Black Mountain

Misty Morn by Hot Flash Designs was perfect for this photograph of the hollow formed by the peaks of Black Mountain.  We took this shot one morning on a buggy ride to go berry picking.  The neutral colors and slightly textured feel of Misty Morn drew me to scrap this photo with this particular kit.

Just wanted to thank you for all your work on my behalf. Your layouts are lovely. I don’t know where you live, but it looks like a beautiful place. You’ve got some lovely photos of the area. Great job and I’m the beneficiary! Thank you again.
